Booking and Cancellation Policy

Weekly Classes

• Your booking fee secures your place, either paid via our website or by bank transfer- we cannot reserve places without payment. Your booking is only secure once a 50% deposit has been paid or payment in full.
• If you have chosen to pay by direct debit, your place in our classes is secure and booked.

• If we cancel or alter the time or location of a class you will be offered a full refund or the option to switch to another class. 

 

One Day Workshops

• Your booking fee secures your place, either paid via our website or by bank transfer- we cannot reserve places without payment.
• You have the statutory 14 days to cancel or amend your booking. 
• After this time a 50% refund or the option to switch to another workshop will be offered if made more than one month before the workshop date.
• No refunds will be offered less then one month before the workshop commences.
• If we cancel a workshop for any reason, you will be entitled to a full refund.

 

Group/Bespoke Bookings

• Your booking fee secures your place, either paid via our website or by bank transfer- we cannot reserve places without payment. Your booking is only secure once a 50% deposit has been paid or payment in full.
• The remaining balance must be paid one month before the workshop commences.
• Group bookings are subject to a minimum guest number as discussed on an individual basis.
• Individual places on a group booking will not be refunded – your total booking cost will be based on the original booking number.
• If we cancel or alter the content, time or location of a workshop you will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to rearrange.
• If you cancel your booking more than one month before the class a 50% refund will be offered, or the remaining balance will not be charged.
• If you cancel your booking less than one month before the workshop the entire booking cost still applies.

 

One to One Bookings

• Your booking fee secures your place – we cannot reserve places without payment. 
• If we cancel or alter the content, time or location of a class, you will be offered a full refund or the option to re-book your session.
• You have the statutory 14 days to cancel or amend your booking. After this time a 50% refund or the option to switch to another date will be offered if made more than a month before the workshop date.
• No refunds will be offered less then one month before the class commences.

 

Wedding Ring Workshops

• Your booking fee secures your workshop – we cannot reserve places without payment. 
• If we cancel or alter time or location of your workshop you will be offered a full refund or the option to re-book your session

• You have the statutory 14 days to cancel or amend your booking. After this time a 50% refund or the option to switch to another date will be offered if cancelled more than one month before the class. 
• After this time a 50% refund, be offered if cancelled more than one month before the workshop date. If you cancel less than one month before the workshop the workshop fee will not be refunded but the metals fee will not be charged. 

Refunds and change to workshops are at the discretion of Studio Budgie Galore Ltd. and its tutors.

Data Protection

What data do we collect and store?

We collect and store data provided by you, including your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and purchase or booking details. Correspondence details may also be stored when necessary.

Payment information is never stored.

How is the data stored?

All data is stored electronically and is password protected. Physical paper mailing list sign up sheets are shredded once the data has been transferred to our mailing list.

What do we do with your data?

We may use your email or phone number to contact you about your order or booking.

When you book a workshop or make a purchase, we use your data to process your order. We invite you to join our email list for newsletters and updates on workshops, events, and products. You can unsubscribe anytime by emailing us to remove your details. We may contact you via email or phone regarding your order or booking. Please email to unsubscribe or to request to have your details deleted.

Who has access to your data?

As the data controller, I, Julie-Ann Weissenborn will only share your personal information with Studio Budgie Galore Ltd to complete bookings or orders and comply with the law. We will not use or pass on your information for marketing or other purposes, nor add you to any mailing list without your consent. The circumstances in which we may share your data are:

• With colleagues and delivery companies to deliver you order
• With workshop venues when booking a workshop place
• To comply with legal or tax obligations

Your data rights

You can request access to your personal data and ask for changes or deletion. 

You may also complain to the ICO if you have concerns about how we handle your data.

Tools, Equipment & Safety

All tools and equipment are used safely and responsibly. Each student receives full guidance and support. You must read and sign a safety contract before your session. Tool use is only permitted after an induction with an experienced tutor. Tools are regularly inspected.

Chemical Hazards

We use the following chemicals during jewellery production.

• Propane Gas
• Butane gas
• Borax
• Citric Acid (cleaning solution)
• Liver Of Sulphur (oxidising solution)

We use minimal toxicity products at every stage of our jewellery making.

You are responsible for your own safety and personal liability while using our workshop facilities. 

All required personal protective equipment is provided by us, including ventilation and extraction systems, aprons, gloves, eye and ear protection. 

Studio Budgie Galore holds full public and professional liability insurance and all tutors have their own public liability insurance policies. 

Gift Voucher Policy

Gift vouchers may be purchased through our website or you can contact us directly by email with your request.

• Gift vouchers can be redeemed via our website or you contact us directly for advice and booking.
• Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. The booking must be placed within 12 months but can be made for a class or workshop which runs after that time.
• Gift vouchers are only valid for the amount purchased. If used against an item with a higher value, the balance can be paid at the time of booking.
• Gift vouchers are not exchangeable for cash or refunds.
