Who are our classes suitable for?
Learn how to create beautiful textured silver ring with topper using Silver Art Clay and fireable Cubic Zirconia in this one-day workshop at Studio Budgie.
Our silver clay ring workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience. During the day we introduce you to the workshop, tools, equipment and cover health and safety. With guidance from Helen, you will learn the technical skills required to roll, texture, and cut Silver Art Clay to create your ring and topper. You will also learn how to fire, burnish, polish and finish your piece to a high standard.
What will you make?
Silver Art Clay feels like porcelain clay to work with and when fired turns into fine silver. Fine particles of pure silver are mixed with a non toxic organic binder; when fired the binder burns away leaving a silver piece that can be hallmarked as fine silver. You will make 1 ring with decorative topper and optional cubic zirconia.
Our jewellery making facilities.
We have a well-equipped traditional jewellery workshop with a good variety of machinery and hand tools. We also have a good selection of specialist tools. Students work at their own individual jewellery bench; we have separate soldering areas and larger communal workbenches.
What’s included?
All materials are included in the cost of this workshop, including 10 grams of Silver Art Clay and some fireable cubic zirconia stones. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also included. The workshop is fun and informative, and no previous experience is needed. Small class sizes ensure individual tuition from your qualified experienced tutor.

- Your booking fee secures your place, either paid via our website or by bank transfer- we cannot reserve places without payment.
- You have the statutory 14 days to cancel or amend your booking.
- After this time a 50% refund or the option to switch to another workshop will be offered if made more than one month before the workshop date.
- No refunds will be offered less then one month before the workshop commences.
- If we cancel a workshop for any reason, you will be entitled to a full refund.
