Who are our classes suitable for?
Our silver jewellery day is suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience. This workshop is a great introduction to working in silver and a chance to see if you enjoy making jewellery.
During the day we introduce you to the workshop, tools, equipment and cover health and safety. You will learn a range of traditional jewellery and silversmithing techniques including saw piercing, texturing, forming polishing and finishing.
What will you make?
Initially you will experiment with aluminium to produce a range of samples and test pieces. You will then make a silver pendant and earrings complete with findings and chain.
Our jewellery making facilities.
We have a well-equipped traditional jewellery workshop with a good variety of machinery and hand tools. We also have a good selection of specialist tools. Students work at their own individual jewellery bench; we have separate soldering areas and larger communal workbenches.
What’s included?
All materials are included in the cost of this course. Tea and coffee are also included. The workshop is fun and informative, and no previous experience is needed. Small class sizes ensure individual tuition from your qualified experienced tutor.

- Your booking fee secures your place, either paid via our website or by bank transfer- we cannot reserve places without payment.
- You have the statutory 14 days to cancel or amend your booking.
- After this time a 50% refund or the option to switch to another workshop will be offered if made more than one month before the workshop date.
- No refunds will be offered less then one month before the workshop commences.
- If we cancel a workshop for any reason, you will be entitled to a full refund.
