Studio Budgie Galore is on the ground floor and features a spacious, wheelchair-friendly layout. If you have any questions, please contact Julie-Ann.
What is your address and how do I find the studio?
The studio is based at Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, a heritage museum site. Workshops may still run even when the museum is closed to the public.
You’ll find us at the rear of the visitor centre (towards the left) in the lower car park. Free parking is available on site.

Booking & Payments
How do I book a workshop or course?
You can book in two ways:
Online – We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as Google Pay, Apple Pay and AMEX
By bank transfer – Contact us first to confirm availability and arrange payment: Call 0114 3380114 or email info@budgiegalore.co.uk
How do I enrol in a weekly class?
Current students may continue on a rolling basis.
New students can book online when we have listed available spaces, or if you have any questions you can contact us directly.
Can I get a refund or change my booking?
If you’re unable to attend your booked workshop, we can’t offer refunds. However, if you give us sufficient notice and we can fill your space, we may be able to offer an alternative date.
If Studio Budgie Galore has to cancel for any reason, we will offer a full refund or an alternative date.
Booking & Payments
What is the minimum age for workshops?
Workshops are suitable for ages 16+, with parental consent required for 16–18 year olds.
Some workshops may accommodate younger participants when accompanied by a parent/guardian – please contact us for guidance.
What’s the minimum age for a birthday party?
Birthday parties are suitable for ages 10 and up.
At least one adult must be present throughout the party, and parents/guardians of under-18s must complete a consent form.
Workshops & Classes
What time do classes and workshops run?
One Day Workshops: 10am – 4pm
Weekly Morning Classes: 9.30am – 12 noon
Weekly Afternoon Classes: 12.30 – 3pm or 1 – 3.30pm
Weekly Evening Classes: 6.30 – 9pm
How many people attend each workshop?
Class sizes vary by workshop. The studio has 12 jewellery benches and typically hosts 6–10 students per session. Get in touch if you’d like details about a specific class.
Are workshops suitable for beginners?
Most workshops are beginner-friendly. Course descriptions will state the required level, or feel free to contact us for advice.
What’s included in the workshop cost?
One Day Workshops: All materials included*
Taster Courses: All materials included
Weekly Classes: Consumables included (materials available to purchase in class)
Tea, coffee, and refreshments are provided in all workshops and classes.
*Where applicable on some one day workshops there is the option to buy additional material to make a larger piece.
Do I need to bring lunch?
Yes – please bring lunch for one day workshops. Alternatively, food can be purchased from the on-site café Joni which is open every day.
